The first month of 2016 is about to end and you all must be working hard towards a healthy-you. Having a healthy dessert is an award for all the diligent efforts you have made so far. So make this dessert and have a treat from my side :P and always cook the natural way!!
You need
1 cup oats (instant)3 cup milk (of your choice)
1/4 cup honey (or sugar)
10 strawberries (chopped)
1-2 kiwi (chopped)
few grapes (cut in half)
1 tablespoon lemon juice
5 dried apricots (chopped)
1 tablespoon black currants
1 tablespoon raisins
1/4 teaspoon ghee
seeds of 5 cardamom (crushed)
For garnishing
1 teaspoon coco powder
mint leaves
left over fruits
Method
1. Heat oil in a pan, fry cardamom seeds till fragrant. Add oats and milk and cook till done. Keep aside to cool.
2. In a bowl, mix all the fresh fruits with lemon juice. Keep aside.
3. In another bowl, mix all the dried fruits. Keep aside.
4. To assemble, In a glass(es) or bowl(s) layer the fresh fruits, oats, dried fruits, again oats and repeat layering this way till the glass fills up. Sprinkle coco powder and garnish with mint leaves or fruits. Chill and Enjoy this healthy dessert !!

ReplyDeleteTruely a guiltfree sweet tooth indulgence. I love the choice of fruits and dry fruits. Oasis not only adds to the nutrition but totally complements the fruits and dry fruits. I found the use of ghee very interesting. This is one delicious parfait.
