Egg and Cheese Toast

Breakfast is the first and the most important meal of the day. A good healthy breakfast means a good, energetic day ahead, which help you to perform at your best all day long! This breakfast recipe is very simple and quick, that you can make even on a lazy morning. I've used flat whole wheat bread (chapatti) but you can use any bread you have at hand. Enjoy every morning and never ever skip your breakfast. Try to go beyond ready to eat cereals and experiment with fresh, healthy and wholesome stuffs you may have at home. You need
6 slices whole wheat bread (or any bread available)
1 cup cottage cheese (crumbled) (see homemade cottage cheese)
1 egg
1 teaspoon soya sauce
1 teaspoon corn flour
1 teaspoon ginger-garlic paste (optional)
1 teaspoon basil (dried)
1 teaspoon black pepper powder
salt to taste
1 tablespoon butter or oil (optional)


Method
1. In a bowl, whisk together egg , soya sauce, corn flour, pepper, ginger-garlic paste.
2. Gently fold in the crumbled cottage cheese. Add salt.
3. Spread the butter or oil (if using) on the bread and put some cheese mixture on it. Do the same with rest of the bread slices.
4. Set the oven function to toast and place the slices onto the wire rack.
5.Toast at 200 C for 10 minutes or till golden brown.
6. Serve hot with chilli sauce.
